the essential
The spokesperson for the far-right movement, Andréa Kotarak, held a public meeting this Saturday in Saint-Pierre-Lafeuille, on the occasion of the European elections. Around forty activists or sympathizers responded.

“If some are hesitant to vote for Manon Aubry, Andréa will convince them otherwise,” smiles Gérard Blanchet, the new departmental head of the National Rally (RN). This is not the only time that the head of the European list of France Insoumise (LFI) takes it, kindly, for his rank this Saturday afternoon at the village hall of Saint-Pierre-Lafeuille. Nor that convinced and practiced laughter arises when the opportunity is good to hit the left “and those who do not see reality”. For the occasion, Andréa Kotarak, spokesperson for the far-right movement, made the trip to mobilize the troops in the run-up to the weekend of June 8 and 9, the voting dates for the European elections.

“There are leaflets to put in the mailbox”

Curiously, to address this “fundamental election”, Andréa Kotarak begins by talking about the election to the National Assembly of the 89 RN deputies “who have worked a lot”, he assures. Without questioning the quality of the work of the deputiestees, it is ironic to note that some month earlier, it was the head of the list and president of the party, Jordan Bardella, who was pinnede. Present in the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament, Jordan Bardella was absent 70% of the time for the 51 meetings carried out between July 2019 and December 2023, notes a Supplementary investigation distributed on January 18.

But what does it matter for these converts who have come to listen to the good word, and the orders of direction: “I am a spokesperson, but you too, you need to talk about it to those around you,” encourages Andréa Kotarak. Earlier, the departmental manager also recalled that there were “leaflets to put in mailboxes”. To date, the local branch of the RN has 120 activists and more than 350 supporters, assures Gérard Blanchet.

Above all, we must ensure the mobilization of the RN electorate for whom the Europeans are above all “ another anti-Macron referendum.” And a slightly Trumpist moment as the RN slogan “France returns” takes tunes of “Make America great again”.
