Traffic restrictions

”The aerodrome is located on a strategic axis at the crossroads between the motorway exit, access to the north of the department via the Avance valley and the town of Gap. The organization of such an event in this sector therefore requires the greatest vigilance regarding traffic and parking conditions,’ continues Marcel Cannat, vice-president in charge of roads and aerodromes.

On the national 85

The national road is cut at Tallard. Local diversions are in place on Saturday May 25 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday May 26 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In the direction of La Saulce Tallard, via Curbans, traffic is prohibited for heavy goods vehicles weighing more than 3.5 t, recommended for light vehicles on Saturday and compulsory for cars in transit on Sunday.

On the A 51 motorway

This exceptional event will cause traffic complications from the La Saulce toll station, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26. To ensure traffic flow, recommended diversions will be put in place.

In the direction of the Ubaye valley, drivers are invited to take the Peyruis interchange exit (n°20). In the direction of Gap, they are invited to take the Sisteron Nord interchange exit (n°23).

Drivers wishing to go to the airshow can take the La Saulce exit (n°24).

Real-time information systems will be put in place by VINCI Autoroutes to support users during these two days of severe disruption.

Parking and shuttles

The mobilization of the platform’s neighbors – many farmers – makes it possible to have 14,000 parking spaces near the airfield. A monitored bicycle park will also be made available, on the perimeter of the airfield parking lot.

In addition, shuttles will be set up on Sunday May 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Attendance peaks in the morning and late afternoon are taken into account.

On the La Saulce side, the stops are: medical center and national gendarmerie, RD 1085 (deviation – La Saulce), Gandière car park – A51, Tallard aerodrome.

Departing from Gap, the route is as follows: theatre-media library, Alp’Arena, SNCF train station, Les Métiers (Leclerc car park), ZA Les Fauvins (Go Sport car park), Tokoro (Urban car parks, Bonobo, Entrepôt du DIY), Faure du Serre, Verdun, Nautical stadium, RN85 Alps holiday center, Tallard aerodrome.
