Essonne: rap evening degenerates into shooting, one man killed and another injured

Bloody festival in Fleury-Mérogis (Essonne). A shooting left one dead and one injured, on the sidelines of a rap evening in a private reception room. A man in his thirties died, and another was more lightly injured by gunfire, Le Parisien learned from consistent sources. An investigation into “voluntary homicide” was opened and entrusted to the gendarmes of the Paris Research Section (SR), specifies the Évry-Courcouronnes public prosecutor’s office.

It was around 6:15 a.m. this Saturday that the alert was given: shots were fired near the Berfin reception room, in a commercial area in the south of Fleury-Mérogis. According to initial evidence, which the investigation will have to corroborate, a brawl broke out outside the room. It ended in blood, on the asphalt: two hooded people allegedly took out a handgun, before firing. They then fled.

“It’s been two or three evenings where the party gets out of hand”

Two men were shot and injured. One of them very seriously injured in the chest. Quickly on site, the firefighters tried everything to resuscitate this victim in cardiorespiratory arrest, to no avail. She dies on the spot. The second injured person, also aged around thirty, was more lightly injured. He was taken care of by the emergency services with his vital prognosis not engaged. Two other people were reportedly injured by blows.

“It’s been two or three evenings where the party degenerates with gunshots. And this morning, a homicide, certainly linked to excessive alcohol consumption, deplores Olivier Corzani, the mayor (PCF) of the city. It’s worrying. I call on the managers of these private rooms to be vigilant, who must put everything in place to avoid such a scenario. »

On May 1, again in the early morning, a 38-year-old man was seriously injured by a gun during an evening organized in another private party hall in the town, La Verrière. No less than 600 people gathered there that evening, in front of a DJ on the decks. As the party drew to a close, a gunshot rang out. A man was hit by the shot. Rescued by firefighters from 91 and a team from Smur de Juvisy, the victim was then evacuated to the Percy hospital center (Hauts-de-Seine). The investigation was entrusted to the Essonne gendarmes. “The fact that a weapon could have been introduced into the room raises questions,” the mayor of Fleury-Mérogis had already lamented in our columns.
