Centaure Travel, from dream to reality

Voyages Centaure was born in the middle of a pandemic. While many travel agencies were closing their doors, Serge H. Malaison took up the challenge, in 2021, of creating his own agency Voyages Centaure and Trans Atlantis Tours specializing in bus tours as well as accompanied tours across the world. And the success is there, the clientele continues to grow. This perhaps comes from the motto of Voyages Centaure, Where your travel dreams come true. Above all, the agency has developed a division which is aimed more specifically at the LGBTQ2S+ communities, by knowing their tastes in travel and by offering destinations or even cruises corresponding to the wishes of this clientele.

For the co-founder and general manager of Voyages Centaure, Serge H. Malaison, the pandemic proved to be an opportunity, especially since he had in his plans the idea of developing a travel agency that would target customers LBGTQ2S+. “Being a member of the community myself, I found that it was underserved with a lack of services and advice, and so we formed a team that will be able to offer the right products to provide unique travel experiences. Customer response was positive. We have a lot of people from the community contacting us, and we have had great success to date. The people on our team who take care of these more specialized trips are part of the community and there is therefore immediately a bond of trust that is established, explains the director, and we are the only agency in Quebec that addresses this community directly. »

But if Voyages Centaure turns to destinations and formulas that meet the needs of the community, it does not forget Quebec. Hence this idea of partnership with Fierté Montréal. “This year, we will work in full and close collaboration with Fierté Montréal,” continues Serge H. Malaison. “During the festival, we will provide unique experiences to visitors and passing travelers. We will have a Rainbow Bus leaving from Toronto and another from New York with visitors from Ontario and the United States. We will also have an event on August 8 on the roof terrace of the Hyatt Centric hotel — for me, the most beautiful terrace in Montreal with a magnificent view of Old Montreal and downtown —, and in partnership with Virgin Travel. Still in partnership with Fierté Montréal, we are organizing a Rainbow Bus which will leave from Quebec and Montreal to go to New York Gay Pride, from June 28 to July 1, including four days and three nights in New York . A first!”

Voyages Centaure, thanks to its contacts and partnerships with organizations like IGLTA or Virgin Voyages, wants to make Quebec a destination of choice for LGBTQS+ people around the world, not only for them to participate in major events like Fierté Montreal but to help them discover Quebec, among other things, by organizing bus tours. “Quebec is a safe destination for frequent travelers from the community, and this gives them the opportunity to discover incredible landscapes,” insists the director.

This is how Serge H. Malaison sums up his company. “We are a general agency that specializes in bus tours across Canada and the United States, but also in offering the most diverse cruises and accompanied tours around the world. We have experienced specialists in each of these departments to provide the best travel experience. We have this unique experience for LGBQ2S+ customers whose success is only growing. »

“We are currently developing several ecotourism destinations, a growing trend,” continues Serge H. Malaison. “We want a company that positions itself as eco-responsible, which is why we are part of the Sustainable Tourism association with direct actions with customers and our suppliers. We absolutely want to give back to organizations that take care of nature or that help people in need because it is important for us to give back.” With Voyages Centaure, dreams are achievable for anyone who wants to travel.
