A long-standing tradition (for 22 years) among National Bank employees, the annual Classic BN hockey tournament was held this year in Quebec from May 3 to 5 for the benefit of the Breakfast Club, whose mission is to nurture the potential of children. The Bank’s flagship sporting event, the initiative combines the promotion of team spirit and physical activity with philanthropic commitment. 463 tonnes of material diverted

La Collecte Verte offered, on May 5, for the 24the time, a quick and easy way to dispose of old appliances ecologically. The event made it possible to recover more than 7 tons of obsolete electrical, computer or electronic equipment, despite the rain. Everything that runs on a battery or plugs in has been meticulously sorted and recycled in order to reuse the raw materials. On site, a large team made up of volunteers and qualified employees worked to optimally pre-sort the materials. Please note that the flagship event of the non-profit organization Les Collectes Vertes will now take place only once a year. A move is expected next year to allow more citizens to go there. It is therefore advisable to subscribe to the CollecteVerte.ca website to receive a reminder before the chosen dates. Now 463 tonnes have been diverted from landfill in 24 years.
