For several years, the Department of Marne conducts a prevention policy aimed at the elderly in home support so that they can age at home in good conditions. On the occasion of the Senior Eating Well Weeknumerous activities are planned by the structures welcoming these audiences: themed meals in Ehpad, cooking workshops in neighborhood centers… In addition, a traveling nutrition stand will make a stopover in 11 communes of the Marnewith professionals on board who will offer free activities, information, recipes and tastings of infused waters.

The objectives of this action

This week has several objectives: rediscover the pleasure of eating and the desire to cook; adopt good reflexes and change eating habits in a fun way; raise awareness of the specificity of cooking for the elderly by combining pleasure, maintaining autonomy and nutritional quality; raise awareness of the benefits of a balanced and adapted diet by breaking preconceived ideas about the diet of seniors; fight against loneliness and isolation by creating social connections while providing access to information. Thus, Senior Eating Well Week is an opportunity to stock up on information, advice and tips for eating healthy and aging well through numerous events throughout the Marne.
