To cope with the shortage of priests and faithful, the diocese of Bayeux and Lisieux is reorganizing. From September 1, 2024, it will be divided into fifteen parishes (compared to 51 currently) contained in five deaneries. The deanery of Pays d’Auge will now have three parishes, including that of Sainte-Thérèse in Pays d’Auge, for the Lisieux sector.

It was through a press release that the diocese of Bayeux and Lisieux announced, at the beginning of the week, the appointment of priests for the 1er September 2024. While the diocese has started two years ago a “pastoral transformation process” , Laurent Berthout, episcopal delegate for information of the diocese, also detailed the distribution of the 15 parishes which will be grouped into 5 deaneries in Calvados.
