Seven swimming places in Limousin have been awarded the Blue Flag label for this new summer season, certifying good quality water. With these numerous ponds and lakes, Corrèze is the best represented department.

For almost 40 years, it has been floating on the beaches and is a landmark for many tourists. The BVleu Pavilion, which rewards environmentally friendly swimming and marinas, unveils its national rankings on May 23. This includes 505 bathing places in 2024.

In New Aquitaine, 58 sites obtain – or renew – certification: there are 55 beaches, two ports, in Lège-Cap-Ferret (Gironde) and on the island of Oléron (Charente-Maritime) and… the only labeled ship in France, theExplore ocean in Hendaye (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).

Due to the lack of a seafront, the offer is less varied in Limousin, which nevertheless has seven Blue Flag beaches. Mainly located in Corrèze, they are all on a line from Chalus (Haute-Vienne) to Bort-les-Orgues (Corrèze). Despite its numerous bodies of water, Creuse still does not have a blue flag.
