Want to pay four to five times less for your new skis? The ski scholarship season has launched in our Pays de Savoie. In Annecy, it is organized by the Ski Club this weekend of October 19 and 20 at the Boulodrome. 2,000 square meters of shoes, skis, snowshoes and other snowboards… At prices that defy all competition.

The concept is simple: individuals drop off the equipment they no longer need and the Annecy Ski Club takes care of reselling them at discounted prices. The Ski Club receives a commission which helps finance the season’s activities for its members. Win-win.
A boon especially for equipping children: with growth, from one year to the next, the equipment is no longer suitable. It is also an opportunity for adults to have fun without spending too much. “It works very well!”assures Benoit Muller, president of the Annecy Ski Club. “We’ve been organizing it for 30 years and before opening, people arrive almost an hour early to be among the first to find what they’re looking for.”

Don’t hesitate to ask for advice
And there’s plenty to find what you’re looking for in the huge hangar filled with equipment. “We have a lot of choice,” continues Benoit Muller. “So many choices that people are a little lost.” Don’t worry, around a hundred volunteers are there to help you : “We are here to help them, advise them according to their level and offer them the most suitable equipment. Because we are not going to provide a slalom ski to a beginner. You should not hesitate to ask for advice regarding your level to have suitable equipment Because there is so much choice that you can quickly be overwhelmed and take a bad ski and not have fun as a result.
The Annecy Ski Exchange is at the Boulodrome, Boulevard du Fier, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday, October 20. And that of Drumettaz-Clarafond is at the multipurpose hall, Route du Chef-lieu this Sunday, October 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
