Dakar – The strengthening of bilateral relations between Morocco and Senegal was at the center of the meeting, Tuesday in Dakar, between the Senegalese Prime Minister, Mr. Ousmane Sonko, and the Moroccan ambassador in the Senegalese capital, Hassan Naciri, who reviewed the fundamentals which give Moroccan-Senegalese relations “all their singularity”.

The Moroccan Embassy in Dakar indicated, in a press release, that, “following the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and of the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, of new prospects for cooperation were explored – on this occasion – taking into account the economic and social priorities of the two countries and in the spirit of complementarity and pan-African integration”.

The two parties welcomed, in this regard, the results of bilateral relations “made possible thanks to the bonds of trust, mutual respect and win-win partnership between the two countries”, added the same Source.

Concerning the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, “the Senegalese Prime Minister reiterated, on behalf of the Head of State, Bassiou Diomaye Faye, the clear and constant position of Senegal, a brother country, friend and ally in favor of the territorial integrity of the Morocco, as well as its unwavering support for the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative,” underlined the diplomatic representation of the Kingdom.

The Senegalese Prime Minister welcomed, in this context, the opening of the Consulate General of Senegal in Dakhla, said the same Source, noting that the audience “took place in an atmosphere marked by cordiality and fraternity African”.
