Tuesday’s stormy episode is likely to recur this Wednesday in several areas of southwestern Quebec, where it will still be hot with a humidity of 37 in places.

It is a low pressure system which will enter from the west of the province which should cause possibly violent storms from the afternoon, before reaching the other sectors of the center of the province and the east of the province. -Quebec.

Environment Canada has also announced a weather alert for a watch of violent thunderstorms for the sectors of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Pontiac, Matagami and the La Vérendrye wildlife reserve.

“Conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong gusts, large hail and heavy rain this afternoon and evening,” the federal agency said on its website.

This disturbance in the sky alternating between sun and cloud cover will be accompanied by summer temperatures which could reach or exceed 30 degrees in Montreal and the Outaouais.

Elsewhere, the weather will be pleasant with comfortable temperatures, particularly in the central areas of the province where the humidex will also have its effect, including in Saguenay where the mercury could reach 27 degrees on the thermometer.

In Eastern Quebec, the weather will be generally sunny with comfortable temperatures ranging between 19 degrees on the North Shore and 25 degrees in Bas-Saint-Laurent.
