U18 Occitanie basketball players qualified for the semi-finals

The Occitanie U18s had a very good run. This training is made up of residents of the sports section of the Clément-Marot high school in Cahors: Jordane Molinié, Elora Hénot, Ninon Conéjéro, Camille Paulo, Salomé Murat, Louise Villars, Lilou Lucianaz, Nola Segonne and Ambre Picot. Pradines Lot Basket is the club supporting the team in the Occitanie championship, the highest regional level.

This training is coached by Eldon Keïta, assisted by Stéphanie Lucianaz in coaching. In the first phase, two groups of eight teams were formed, with the top three from each group moving on to the senior group. The Lotoises finished 2nd in their group, behind Auch and ahead of Tarbes. In the other group, Montpellier, Saint-Gély and Colomiers qualified to be part of this high group of six teams.

At the end of this second phase, the Beetles were still ranked in 2nd position, behind Auch and ahead of Tarbes and Montpellier, giving them access to the semi-finals which will take place in a two-way match on Saturday May 25 and June 1. For this semi-final first leg, the Pradinoises will face Tarbes and will play the first match away, the return match being scheduled in Cahors on Saturday June 1 at 2:30 p.m., at the Palais des Sports; the other half will pit Montpellier against Auch. The final is scheduled for June 8 in Montauban and we wholeheartedly hope that the Reds and Blacks are among those qualified!

But for that, it will be necessary to win against Tarbes in both matches and the supporters are expected in large numbers to support this united and motivated group, especially as the outcome remains uncertain, the previous meetings between the two teams in 1st phase ended in an away defeat and a home victory for the Lotoises.
