Morocco, country in the spotlight for the 2025 edition

Morocco will be the country of honor during the 7th edition of Montreal Digital Week (MTL connecte) scheduled for next year, the organizers of this show dedicated to the latest innovations in the digital world announced Thursday evening.

The announcement was made by the President of the Board of Directors of the “Printemps digital” organization, initiator of the event, Caroline Roy, on the sidelines of the awards ceremony for the 6th edition of this flagship trade show. the province of Quebec.

The choice of Morocco “is a recognition both of the importance of relations between Morocco and Quebec, but also of the numerous achievements of the Kingdom in the fields of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship,” said highlighted on this occasion Mohamed El Mahdi Gaouane from the Moroccan embassy in Canada.

The diplomat noted, in this regard, that the “Maroc Digital 2030” program aims to position Morocco “as a regional digital hub, by boosting its digital economy and strengthening local innovation”.

“This spotlight is also a reflection of the excellent relations between Morocco and Quebec based on diverse and rich economic, cultural and educational exchanges,” he added.

The 6th edition of this event, organized from October 15 to 18 under the theme “Metamorphosis”, was marked by a series of panels on various themes, including cyber security, educational practices in the age of intelligence generative artificial, open data, the use of users’ personal data or even economic sovereignty.
