Between concerts, races and immersion in the heart of the aqueduct, the Pont du Gard offers a multitude of exceptional events to experience with family, friends or alone.

In the program :

Candlelight concert

On May 24, 25 and 26, the Pont du Gard hosts Candlelight, an original concert whose objective is to democratize classical music and which is played by local musicians in places lit by thousands of candles.

Programming of the first concerts:
May 24: Hans Zimmer (Pitot), Queen (Promenade)
May 25: ABBA (Pitot), 4 Seasons by Vivaldi (Promenade)
May 26: Coldplay (Pitot), Queen (Promenade)

Other candlelight concerts are planned on the Pont du Gard site on May 24, 25 and 26, June 14, 15 and 16, July 26, 27, 28, August 23, 24 and 25 and August 6, 7 and September 8.

Duo nature race (Les Relais de l’eau des Gardons)

Saturday May 25 will be the closing day of the Relais de l’eau des Gardons. For the occasion, a non-timed duo race will be held at Pont du Gard. 8 kilometers long and with 190 meters of elevation gain, the race highlights solidarity and mutual aid between participants. Upon registration, the start of the race will be at 10:30 a.m., at the Esplanade, on the right bank of the Pont du Gard. The rest of the day, concert, awards ceremony, village of stands and conferences are on the program.

“A ReGard for my health” race

On Friday, May 31, the “un ReGard pour ma santé” race will be held, a run and walk for all levels. This race is an action in favor of screening, prevention and the psychological well-being of caregivers. The goal is to cover the most miles in an hour. For each kilometer traveled, €1 will be donated to the CPTS ReGards (Territorial Community of Health Professionals). The first departure will be given on the right bank of the Bridge, from 6 p.m., then a departure will be every 30 minutes until 8 p.m.

The Nemausus Duck Race

Sunday June 2, tens of thousands of bath ducks will race at the Pont du Gard. This is a charitable and humanitarian event organized by the “Belle et Rose” association and the pediatric department of the Nîmes University Hospital. The objective is to adopt 300,000 fake ducks and beat the French record. The profits will be donated to the Nîmes University Hospital to offer gifts to sick and disabled children and to the Belle et Rose association.

The day will begin at 11 a.m. at the foot of the Pont du Gard with activities such as a vintage car village or the famous duck fishing. The ducks will launch at 4 p.m. To participate, simply adopt a duck (during the race) for €3. The winner of the race wins a Kia Picanto while 50 other prizes are up for grabs for other participants.

The great Odyssey

Throughout the year, discover the history of the Pont du Gard aqueduct through a one-hour visit accompanied by a mediator. Departure is from reception, on the left bank of the bridge.
