If last year the season was complicated due to less favorable climatic conditions, the ski resorts of the Southern Alps plan, naturally, to do better. They are counting on Nordic Alpes du Sud to attract the public, both beginners and athletes.

To do this, the association, based in Briançon, count on his Nordic Pass Evasionthe brand new package dedicated to Nordic activities, other than the cross country ski.

The 32 areas of the Southern Alps are ready.

Sled dogs and fatbike

Snowshoeing, hiking, fatbike, sled dogs… The pass offers users a multitude of activities in the Alpine territory. It also allows fund improvements and development of northern estates.

A new roller ski slope

Since the end of September 2024, A cell and the Community of communes of Guillestrois Queyras inaugurated a new roller ski slope, directly connected to the 4-season biathlon stadium.

Thanks to this installation, the practice of biathlon is now possible in summer, thus offering a new opportunity for off-season training. Ceillac hopes to attract biathlon and cross country skiparticularly for their preparation courses.

Restore trails damaged by bad weather

Following the spring bad weathernumerous works have been undertaken to restore damaged tracks and prevent risk areas in the event of future floods or bad weather.

The areas of Vallouise – Pelvoux – Les Vigneaux, Villar d’Arène, Champsaur, and Boréon were particularly affected, with entire sections of runways and several bridges destroyed. This is why players in the sector have mobilized to restore them.

A new 2.5 km track on the Courtier plateau

Nordic skiing comes to the Alpine snow front in Réallon. A new track, as yet unnamed, offers a 2.5 km loop on the Broker’s Plateauright next to the Alpine area.

The domain aims to collaborate with the French Ski School (ESF) to install premises and develop a shooting zone, in order to offer an initiation to biathlon. This loop also includes the Courtier ski lift, thus facilitating access from the center of the resort.

A new ice waterfall in Villar d’Arène

The Arsine icefall, artificially glaciated, is located in bank of the Romanche in a natural setting. The site has between 8 and 10 routes, some equipped with relays, while others require personal equipment.

The longest routes reach 25 meters, and a 60 meter rope is recommended for safety reasons. Access is by crossing the Romanche via a zip line. It is necessary to reserve a slot, pay a fee, and have insurance to be able to access the site.
