His participation in a World Cup had been awaited for 28 years. Suffice it to say that the Swiss football team was expected when it stepped on its boots at the 1994 World Cup. Thirty years later, it revives memories.

Notably those of Yves Matthey and Frédéric Scola, directors of “L’Epopée 94, Switzerland at the World Cup”. Which offers a mixture of current testimonies from former players and archives retracing the matches and the context of the early nineties.

The directors will present their documentary this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Rex cinema in Fribourg, as part of a French-speaking tour. With the added bonus of the presence of former players: Nestor Subiat, Andy Egli, Yvan Quentin and Dominique Herr.

Free tickets available by writing to 079 658 38 78.
