On Sunday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the French Railways Orphanage (ONCF) is organizing the Solidarity Festival, open to all, at the Les 3 Doms sports center. Free entry. Games will be offered for children (trampolines, inflatable structures, etc.), with catering and refreshments on site.

The 3 Doms de Montdidier center is managed by the Central Committee of the Public Rail Group. Gérard Cousin, member of the national office of the ONCF (which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year) and linchpin of the Solidarity Festival, recalls: “ There are 52,000 members and 596 pupils at the national level at the ONCF. The Solidarity Festival has taken place since 2008 at the Center des 3 Doms in Montdidier. Regional committees from all over France are represented and the idea is to bring together the pupils. More than 200 people are expected. We try to encourage local merchants. »

The organization’s partners are the Inter-company Social and Cultural Activities Committee (CASI) of Amiens, the City of Montdidier, the SNCF and the Union sportive des Cheminots de France, the central committee of the public railway group.

Gérard Cousin expresses the deep meaning of this event: “ The smile of children is worth all the gold in the world to me. »

He concludes : ” We would like to thank the town of Montdidier for putting up a banner on the Place du Maréchal-Foch to announce our Solidarity Day. We also thank the staff of the 3 Doms center very much for their welcome. »
