As part of its CSR policy, Auchan Retail Senegal presented this Thursday, May 16, 2024, a significant donation of food kits to the Christian community. This is to accompany the organizers as well as the faithful on the occasion of the 136th edition of the Marian pilgrimage of Popenguine. According to the CSR Project Manager of Auchan Retail Senegal, Alioune Badara Daff Auchan is committed to supporting religious families, parishes and churches. “This is why we came back to make this donation of rice, milk, juice, oil for the success of this event,” he said.
For his part, Abbot Father Paul Mandika, deputy director of the Dakar Center for Works, believes that it is a Source of pride to see a large firm like Auchan agree to support pilgrimage activities and other religious activities. “Your gesture today is greatly welcomed with open arms in these places. We are preparing to welcome more than 200 thousand faithful who come not only from Senegal, but practically from the sub-region. And when we welcome of the world, there are means to be deployed which require help”, he said before expressing prayers to Auchan so that his firm grows more and more in the country.
