Three people were arrested by Sûreté du Québec (SQ) police officers following a robbery that occurred around 5 p.m. on Wednesday in a pharmacy in Alma.

An individual showed up in the business on Saint-Jude Boulevard threatening employees with a can of cayenne pepper. He later fled with drugs.

Police quickly located the suspect who was in a vehicle on Auger Boulevard. With him were another man and a woman. The three people are around forty years old. The vehicle was seized by officers.

The person who committed the theft is currently in custody. He is due to appear in court in the coming hours. As for the two alleged accomplices, they were released, but must submit to numerous conditions.

Pharmacy employees were not injured during the event.
