The creative offering loses one of its platforms during the next Paris men’s fashion week, which takes place from June 18 to 25. The management of the Tranoï show, led by its general director Boris Provost, announces that it will skip this 2024 edition, presenting the spring-summer 2025 collections. A strong decision, which should not be linked to the attractiveness of Paris during this pre-Olympic Games period.

“Tranoï Homme operates in the ‘Creator’ segment, where its reputation is firmly established, recognized and celebrated. It is however important to recognize the complexity of this segment, where commercial development requires patience and perseverance”, says the manager in his communication . “All of these factors raise questions about the positioning that we must have, in the interests of transparency with all of our customers and partners, to whom we owe the best service. An event of the scale and reputation of Tranoï must ensure an experience of impeccable quality, consistent with our ethics and our requirements. Faced with this observation, we believe it is preferable to postpone our efforts to the January 2025 edition, by presenting a new event format. which will highlight, for this edition, Japanese creation.”

A link with Japan highlighted by the Parisian show, which from September 4 to 5 will organize the first edition of the Tranoï Tokyo show, for which it claims more than 50 designers have already registered.

Taken over almost four years ago by the GL Events group and backed by the Première Vision structure, Tranoï has worked to restore exhibition space to designer brands during men’s and women’s weeks in Paris. During the last Men’s session, the show welcomed around fifty labels, but also presented women’s pre-collections and a lifestyle offer. This June break should therefore allow the teams to imagine a format better suited to the needs of the market.

On the other hand, the event organizer claims to remain focused on its event during women’s fashion week. “Next September, nearly 200 brands and creators will present under the columns of the Palais Brongniart,” says Boris Provost.
