On Sunday June 2, the SMAVD – the union which manages the Durance – is organizing the event “A Sunday in Durance” for the first time in the Hautes-Alpes. A “festive, fun and educational” day which will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Parc de la Durance in Tallard. The opportunity to “raise awareness, highlight the environments, promote them. So that we Provençals can all be protectors of our beautiful river,” explains Christian Doddoli, general director of the SMAVD. The rest of the press release recalls that “three million Provençals drink water from the Durance”.

A round table on the impact of climate change on the Durance

As the day is also intended to be “festive and fun”, several free activities are planned throughout the weekend. Saturday 1er June, from 4 to 6 p.m., there will be a round table on “The Durance in the face of climate change”, which will be followed by an aperitif concert with the group That’s my girls. It will be possible to eat on site.

On Sunday there will be a free multi-sport family raid. And all day long, free activities and a farmers’ market will be available on site. Two concerts are planned, the first at noon and the second at 5:30 p.m.
