3rd International Fisheries Industry Forum: three award-winning companies

Three companies were rewarded, Wednesday in Casablanca, during the trophy presentation ceremony of the 3rd edition of the International Fisheries Industry Forum in Morocco, organized by the National Federation of Industries for the Transformation and Valorization of Fishery Products (FENIP), in partnership with the Swiss Import Promotion Program (SIPPO) and the General Commission for Mediterranean Fisheries (CGPM).

Thus, the “Sustainability” prize was awarded to “Conserveries Marocaines Doha”, to the company “Scandimar” and to “Maroc Bleu”. Recognition awards were also given to Moulay Hamdi Ould Errachid, president of the National Association of Seafood Freezing Industries (ANICOM), represented by Meriem Aamar Hadad, to Sidi Tayeb El Moussaoui, member of FENIP , represented by Badr El Mousaoui, and Mohamed Kantaoui, also a member of FENIP.

The recognition prizes were also awarded to Amine Bensaih, president of the Industrial Federation of Seafood Products (FIPROMER), to Hassan Sentissi El Idrissi, president of FENIP, to Mohamed Ali Edaddi, president of the Moroccan Association of Aquaculture (AMA), to the SIPPO Consultant, Lahsen Ababouch and to the international experts Amadou Tall, Mohamed Bouayad and Messaouda Rachid.

In addition, the prize in the “Best Leader” category was awarded to Lamia Znagui, director of FENIP.

Held under the theme “Collaboration for sustainability: crossed perspectives of research, development, and the private sector”, the International Forum of the Fisheries Industry in Morocco aimed to share the progress made by the Kingdom and other brotherly and friendly countries in the responsible exploitation and preservation of marine resources, in order to create a dynamic platform for the exchange of the best experiences and knowledge necessary to meet the challenges of sustainability and forge innovative solutions.

This event demonstrates Morocco’s commitment to sustainable fishing and a prosperous blue economy. It highlights collaboration and innovation as key elements to meeting the challenges of the sector and ensuring a sustainable future for future generations.
