A successful first for “La Chevauchée de l’Ouest Aveyron”

The first equestrian endurance race took place on May 5 in Villeneuve at the initiative of the “La Chevauchée de l’Aveyron” association. After 2 years without equestrian racing in Aveyron, 93 riders from the department and the region galloped on the Villeneuve plateau to Gelles. They had the choice between a route of 20, 40, 60 or 80 km. Of course, a veterinary check was organized during the breaks. The riders particularly appreciated the quality of the trails and the beauty of the landscape.

The results were announced in the presence of the mayor, Jean Pierre Masbou, at the end of the races. The winners are: – for the 80 km free speed, Emmanuelle Philibert-Kerboul with her horse Cacimba de Lauzadie – for the 80 km compulsory speed: Alice Cure with Iska de Montrozier – for the 60 km compulsory speed, Marina Brugel, with Bazz de Piboul – for the 40 km with imposed speed, Floor Braunhius with Granita, de Bozouls – 20 km with imposed speed, Serge Marty with Harmonie.
