Rabat – The winners of the second edition of the writing competition were revealed on Wednesday in Rabat, as part of the 29th edition of the International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL) which continues until the 19th.

Thus, the prizes for writing in Arabic, Amazigh, French and English languages ​​were awarded respectively to Ikhlass Chahim, Salaheddine Aala, Leïla Saheb Ettabaa and Mehdi Chiha.

The jury for this second edition, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Department of Culture, in collaboration with the Connect Institute, is chaired by Badia Rad Hafsa Bekri-Lamrani, Sanae Ghouati and writer Ahmed El Mounadi.

In a word of circumstance, the representative of the Connect Institute, Zakaria Bychlifen, announced that this second edition of the writing competition is the fruit of a collaboration between the Institute and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and communication, noting that this is an opportunity to highlight the literary creativity of young people.

He also indicated that 137 texts in four languages ​​were in the running, which testifies to the enthusiasm of young people passionate about writing and encourages the organization of other editions of this prize.

This competition aims in particular to encourage young people to write, to express their ideas and feelings, as well as to refine their writing talents and promote the production of titles of literary and cultural works, in Arabic, Amazigh, French or English.
