After a season full of success with a paying attendance rate of 87% for the 92 performances of sixteen shows, the Diamant returns with an eclectic program which includes eleven shows, including two from Ex Machina, one from the United Kingdom and another of Belgium, four wrestling galas and a dance evening. “There is no guideline in our programming, but there is a trend. We see a lot of dancing this year, but it’s always closely linked to something else. We try to follow the currents,” declared Robert Lepage, co-founder and artistic director of Le Diamant.

In Courville, a play where actors rub shoulders with puppets and of which Lepage played the main role in 2021, this time he will be replaced by Olivier Normand in a shorter production lasting around two hours offered to the public from October 24 to November 9. “It’s a big improvement, we changed actors!” joked Lepage when unveiling the program. Her Hamlet, Prince of Denmark will be performed from May 8 to 11, 2025 with nine dancers, an entirely dance work created in collaboration with Guillaume Côté’s Côté Danse troupe.
