The press release specifies that Senegal has gained ten places in the ranking compared to the last significant evaluation before the Covid-19 pandemic. This progression is the result of “intensive communication efforts” on the upscaling of the tourism offer in the MICE segment, an acronym used in the business tourism industry to refer to all activities and services linked to professional events. at large.

Senegal’s performance is also due to the “ setting up a MICE network » solid allowing us to host more and more international events.

Senegalese officials indicate that the business tourism development strategy in Senegal continues with the country’s first participation in the IMEX Show in Germany, from May 14 to 16, 2024.
