Last year, six children died in road accidents and 2,155 young people aged 8 to 14 were victims of an accident. In this context, TCS is launching a new road education program for children aged eight to twelve.

The Touring Club Suisse (TCS) presented this program – developed in collaboration with the Friborg High School of Education and the Friborg cantonal police – on Wednesday in a school in the canton of Fribourg. Called “Mobeeez”, it must be accessible to all schools in the country, explained the TCS in a press release on Wednesday.

“Mobeeez” complements the already existing road education for ages 3 to 16. It offers fun and clear tools that meet the needs of teachers, children and their parents. The objective is to support children in the development of their mobility and to enable them to be independent in traffic.

Concretely, the material includes a file with a comic strip and two theoretical brochures for children, which will be distributed by the police during road safety courses. A second part, devoted to mobility and road safety, is aimed at teachers, who can integrate it into different subjects.
