Police evicted pro-Palestinian students who were occupying a building at the University of Bern early Wednesday morning, according to a journalist from the Keystone-ATS news agency. Around thirty people were on the site at the time of the police intervention.

They did not want to resist, a student spokesperson told the journalist. Police secured access to the building, preventing journalists from accessing the campus.

The pro-Palestinian students had ignored an ultimatum from the University of Bern. The rectorate described the situation as unacceptable on Monday. He had made it known that he would not tolerate any intimidation of members of the university. (sda/ats)
