A scooter rider was seriously injured after an accident with a TPG vehicle in Rive. “His vital prognosis is in jeopardy,” indicates Aline Dard, spokesperson for the cantonal police. At 3:30 p.m., a collision occurred between the driver of the two-wheeler and a tram from line 12, near rue d’Italie. Firefighters, 144 and law enforcement were dispatched to the scene. Their intervention was still in progress around 4:15 p.m. Rue d’Italie, and Cours de Rive, have been closed and the entire area is severely disrupted, reports the communicant. It is recommended to avoid it for now.

The circulation of trams 12 and 17 was interrupted in both directions, between Plainpalais and Moillesulaz. Replacement shuttles have been put in place, announce the TPG. Bus lines 2, 6, 7 and 8 have been diverted. Line 92 was interrupted and bus 10 was stopped in Bel-Air.

“Given the seriousness of the facts, the disruptions should last for some time,” warns François Mutter, spokesperson for the public authority. This means that the TPG network on the Left Bank, and more particularly tram lines 12 and 17, will remain disrupted for the next few hours.” On the other hand, traffic remains normal between Bel-Air and Rive. Thus, lines 33, A, E and G are not impacted, as are lines 3, 5, 14, 18 and 19, which pass through Bel-Air. TPG recommended consulting their mobile applications before traveling to the area.
