Saly, May 14 (APS) – Teachers, researchers and experts worked, Monday in Saly (Mbour West), on the establishment of a professional license on land governance at the Gaston Berger University of Saint- Louis, noted the APS.
“We are here as part of a formulation and work workshop on the establishment of a professional license on land governance for the Nelga center of Gaston Berger University,” said Alpha Ba, Secretary of State. to cooperatives and farmer supervision.
He believes that this license “will anticipate the future directions that the agrosylvopastoral and fisheries orientation law will define”.
The overall objective is to “strengthen the capacities of academic institutions as well as practitioners for transformative land governance, and to promote the development, implementation and monitoring of land policies in the region,” he said. -He underlines.
Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis (UGB) has been chosen to serve as an additional node for the West Africa regional hub for the Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa (NELGA).
“The results of this workshop will allow us to have very good curricula that will respond to the concerns of the government and the Senegalese people,” underlined Alpha Ba.
