Accommodation to train medical students in first aid in Dordogne

SDIS 24 and Périgord Habitat attract medical students with free accommodation near the training barracks, thus facilitating their engagement as volunteer firefighters.

An original initiative supported by SDIS 24 and Périgord Habitat offers medical students the benefit of completely free accommodation. This system aims to attract and train students, in particular those engaged as volunteer firefighters or trainees as part of their course at the Limoges medical faculty. The apartment, located near the barracks, includes three bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen, providing a pleasant and practical setting for students between two guards.

A springboard to get involved in the Dordogne

This project not only aims to provide shelter for students, but also to encourage them to become involved in the region as long-term volunteer doctors or firefighters. By discovering the daily life of medical relief, many are motivated to pursue a career in Dordogne, thus helping to meet local medical needs.
