Around 11:30 a.m., a motorist hit the family after losing control of his vehicle. The father was seriously injured. His vital prognosis was still in jeopardy at 4:15 p.m., reports the prosecution. The mother was also injured.

The circumstances of the loss of control “to be established”

The couple’s three children, aged five, six and two, were also involved in the accident. “Their five-year-old daughter suffered facial trauma and a broken leg,” explains François Capin-Dulhoste. “Their six-year-old daughter and their two-year-old son do not have any serious injuries,” he continues.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Dombasle-sur-Meurthe police station after the events. “The circumstances of the loss of control of the vehicle by the driver in question remain to be established,” reports the Nancy public prosecutor. The driver was hospitalized after the accident.

The mayor of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port Luc Binsinger sent his “thoughts to the injured and their families”.
