the former mayor of Moulézan convicted of forgery and use of forgery in the wind farm affair

Conviction of the former mayor of Moulézan in Gard

The former mayor of Moulézan, Pierre Lucchini, was sentenced this Monday by the Nîmes judicial court as part of an appearance on prior admission of guilt (CRPC). He was prosecuted for forgery, use of forgery and identity theft committed between September and November 2023.

False opinions to influence the public inquiry

The facts date back to the public inquiry carried out in 2023 on a proposedinstallation of wind farm in the town of Moulézan. Mr. Lucchini, then mayor of the town, allegedly fabricated false opinions favorable to the project in order to influence the investigation. He also allegedly usurped the identity of several residents of the town to sign these false notices. The courts imposed a fine of 400 euros on him and a suspended prison sentence of 4 months.
