The Angers Loire Métropole urban community was selected among 25 European cities as part of the call for pilot cities launched by the Mission Cities platform “NetZeroCities” for its “Ambition” project, carried out in partnership with the University of Angers and of Nantes as well as the company We Act.

€600,000 in European aid

This project will benefit from a grant of up to €600,000 to experiment with new practices to support the ecological transition collective private housing (condominiums and social housing).

This will involve experimenting with new ways of decarbonization quickly over the course of a two-year program.

Through a method of co-creation between the public sector, the research community, civil society and citizens, different tools and methods of engagement will be tested September 2024 to August 2026 in order to act sustainably for the ecological transition of private collective housing.

THE Ambition project will intervene on the energy renovation of buildings and housingTHE consumption (food, waste, water), mobility… It includes the challenges of adapting to urban overheating and improving the living environment while relying on citizen participation.
