” It’s a real time saving for technical services”, rejoices Jérémy Kowatz, the manager of technical services, at the start of the month of May 2024.

Two mowing robots were placed on the main ground of the stadium Guy-Lange of Saint-Georges-des-Groseillers (Orne).

A cost of €11,980 for the two robotic mowers

In total, this purchase will have cost €11,980. “The goal was to relieve municipal teams,” explains Mayor Stéphane Terrier. Jérémy Kowatz adds: “These robots will also allow a reduction in the use offertilizer, because this will create fertilizer naturally. »

Acquired from a local agricultural company, the two robots have a autonomy four hours of mowing, for two hours of charging. They are programmable and automatic.

We save six hours in mowing maintenance per week, during peak season.

For the moment, they only act on ground of honor during the week. “We will then consider additional land. These robots can walk at all times, except in the event of extreme cold. And then, they are secure, by being geolocated using a GPS antenna. »
