A depression is approaching the Atlantic coast this Monday. It is variable weather that prevails over a large part of the country.

The Calvados department was placed on orange alert on Monday “floods”, announced the meteorological agency Météo-France. This vigilance is due to “significant flood on the Dives”, a river of around a hundred kilometers which flows into the English Channel at Cabourg, northwest of Caen. Vigilance is valid until midnight, according to Météo-France.

A few showers are expected in the northeast this morning. Rain and wind reach Brittany and all the Atlantic regions before evening. The risk of storms is marked in the evening from the Aquitaine basin to Limousin, indicates for its part The Weather Channel *.

This morning

From the Grand Est to Rhône-Alpes, a few stormy showers are present at the start of the morning. In Finistère, a disturbance brings rain and increased winds along the seaside. Everywhere else, the weather is calm, but cloudy or foggy. A few rare drops are expected in places.

This afternoon

The Finistère disturbance is progressing and extending to a northwest quarter of the country with rain and wind along the seaside as well as inland. From the Pyrenees to the Channel coast via Massif Central, the Alps and the Jura, the sky is variable, sometimes threatening. Clearings are holding up in the Grand Est. Near the Mediterranean, the cloud cover is thick, but it does not cause showers. The feeling is autumnal in the rain and wind in Brittany. The mildness persists from the southwest to the eastern flank of the territory.

This evening

The rains extend from Aquitaine to the entire west of the country in a windy atmosphere in Brittany and stormy between the Aquitaine basin and Limousin. From the Pyrenees to the Ardennes to Alsace, the sky is threatening. From Rhône-Alpes to the Mediterranean, the weather is calm under cloudy skies.
