This Friday, May 17 at 8:30 p.m. at the Palais des Congrés in Mazamet, the Musique Départementale des Sapeurs Pompiers du Tarn invites you to the anniversary concert of its creation, 40 years ago in 1984.

For this anniversary, Departmental Music returns to the place where it was created, in Mazamet, in 1984 by Commander Marc Raffin. Hubert Benne was its first leader. The group includes around forty members and will be “reinforced” on this occasion by a few musicians from Hérault. The musicians are mostly former firefighters.

Their repertoire is made up of traditional works for this music but also original works for concert bands and international variety pieces. The departmental music regularly organizes concerts in the department.

Three Mazamétain musicians are part of this departmental music: René Arnaud on bugle, Frédéric Médard on drum and Jean Louis Andrieu on clarinet. You are of course invited to come in large numbers to discover the repertoire of this quality group.

Entrance is free. A refreshment bar, cakes and a raffle with very nice prizes offered by traders from Mazamet and the surrounding area will be offered to you.
