On a stroll to discover the town of Eaux Puiseaux in Aube

Eaux-Puiseaux is a charming small rural town located in the Aube department. It is located in the canton of Ervy-le-Chatel, 30 kilometers from Troyes and 50 kilometers from Auxerre.

The church of Eaux Puiseaux

The current church is located on the site of the Trots hill, exactly between the hamlets of Eaux and Puiseaux, which makes its bell tower visible from several kilometers.

In 1999, the existing stained glass windows were blown out by the storm. The idea then emerged to equip the church with new stained glass windows.

the town decided to dress the windows with contemporary stained glass on the theme of the creation of the world and called on the master glassmaker Flavie Vincent-Petit.****

The work was developed in collaboration with the inhabitants of the town: we observe the fauna and flora of Eaux Puiseaux, herbaria collected by them.

The Hotte farm and the cider museum

The Hotte farm has existed for more than 5 centuries. There are only pressed cider apples from Pays d’Othe which have the particularity of producing tangy juices. Blends of pure fruit juices and ciders are regularly rewarded at the Paris International Agricultural Show.

Most of the pieces originating from the Pays d’Othe are quite old and their evolution bears witness to the ingenuity of man in his “quest” for cider. The oldest, a “parrot wheel press” dates back to 1680.

The poultry of Courbier
