Serious accident on the RD500 on the road between Meynes and Nîmes: a SAMU helicopter on site

A serious road accident occurred this Sunday, May 12 on the RD500 between Meynes and Nîmes in Gard, shortly after Bezouce. Firefighters, police and SAMU are on site. A first SAMU helicopter was dispatched to the scene to treat a seriously injured person. Firefighters extricate several people.

The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. According to initial information, the vehicle, the only one involved, left the road at high speed. In total, there were 4 passengers on board, including one who was ejected. The road is currently closed in both directions of traffic. A second helicopterthat of Civil Security, just arrived on site a few minutes ago.

A third helicopter

A third helicopter just arrived at the scene of the accident at 6:24 p.m. It is that of SAMU 13. The other two helicopters have just taken off to transport the victims to the hospital. Traffic is still cut off on this Gard departmental road. It will resume once relief operations are completed.
