Jacques Billant, the prefect of Pas-de-Calais, thanked the police and firefighters for their intervention following the fire in a dumpster on Saturday May 11. Three minors were taken into custody.

Congratulations for “rapid intervention”. This Sunday, May 12, the Pas-de-Calais prefecture thanked the firefighters and the police for their responsiveness after a dumpster fire that occurred the day before, Saturday, May 11, in Arras. The fire broke out in the commercial area of ​​the town.

“Thanks to the rapid action of the firefighters, the fire was brought under control and reconnaissance was carried out on the facade and roof of the store concerned,” the press release said.

Two minors arrested, the third presented himself at the police station

Before adding: “witnesses reported to the police the escape of three individuals shortly after the dumpster was set on fire.”

Shortly after, two minors were arrested and taken into police custody while the third individual, also a minor, presented himself at the police station with his parents. He was also taken into custody.
