Boris Diaw and Biscarosse in the Coupe des Landes final!

The Bisca 2024 project is not the most popular in the Landes but continues to gain more and more momentum. Started last summer around a bottle from Boris Diaw’s cellar, it took the BOB veterans to the final of the Coupe des Landes.

After eliminating Saint-Médard (104-40), Haut-Mauco (103-68), Real Chalossais (103-82) and Coteaux du Luy (92-79), the team led by the former captain of the Blues this time took Élan Tursan out of the race (99-77). A semi-final played under the eyes of Ronny Turiaf and 2,000 spectators, in the arenas of Gamarde-les-Bains

49 points ahead in the final

Starting with 35 points in advance, due to the level differential (D3, against R1), Biscarosse Olympique nevertheless suffered a new scare. At halftime, Élan Tursan had already made up a large part of its deficit (59-39). But Bisca managed to limit the damage thanks to a much more aggressive Boris Diaw than in previous matches (11 points). With three winning shots in the second half, Nicolas Gayon (15 points) then took over to maintain the gap.

Finally victorious 99-77, Biscarosse qualifies for the final where a huge piece awaits. It will be ESMS (club bringing together Montgaillard, Montsoué and Sarraziet), semi-finalist of Nationale 2, a club led by Rémi Lesca (former teammate of Boris Diaw at Metropolitans 92 in 2017/18) and Romain Hillotte. The match will take place on Saturday June 1 in the open arenas of Plumaçon (8,000 seats), in Mont-de-Marsan, or… Saturday June 8 depending on the weather. Paco Laulhé’s players will leave with a 49-point lead!
