L’inauguration of the’fun and sports arealocated behind the old town hall and near the school, in Fermanville (Manche), took place in the presence of many elected officials from Val de Saire and the sub-prefect Jean Rampon.

An inclusive, fun and intergenerational place

“After several months of workswe are pleased to welcome you as part of the inauguration of the new inclusive playground which took place within a landscaped environment of 5,500m2. This moment, all in conviviality, marks thecompletion of a project which has been close to our hearts for a long time. It was one of our commitments during the mandate,” underlined the mayor, Nicole Belliot Delacour.

This project which has become reality is the result of a municipal commitment towards the youthchildren who attend the school located right next door, associations concerned by these new developments which have taken place near the skate park built in the 1990s.

“Over time, the needs have changed. The equipment has aged and it has become necessary to upgrade this equipment, which, at the time, was innovative. »

Our desire was to create an intergenerational space accessible to all audiences around the creation of a place of meeting and exchange in an environment that can be described as remarkable.

Indeed, the fun and sporty platform which brings together very beautifully crafted modules, between games, relaxation areas or picnic tables, is located in the old orchard of Château Houyvet, which still has numerous espalier fruit trees running along the stone wall which The belt.

The entire space was revegetated and planted with local species by the Jardins de la peninsula de Gatteville-Phare company.
