This Sunday, May 12, the Les amis de la chanson association is organizing its annual lottery at the MJC in Lisle-sur-Tarn from 2:30 p.m. Chaired for twenty years by Jacqueline Fourès, it has eleven members aged between 60 and 75 years. Jacqueline Fourès explains: “We are a group specializing in variety, we play at the request of communities, generally indoors because it’s not just singing, there is real choreography and performance. We do around thirty dates per year throughout Occitanie and as far as Belgium.”

Jacqueline Fourès is not only the organizer, she puts her talent as a costume designer at the service of the collective. “When I took over as president, the association was a choir, I wanted to bring a little more energy. I was a costume designer for thirteen years. Over a 2.5 hour show we have several scenes, several themes, and therefore different costumes.” The troupe can count on choreographer Stéphanie Aldibert as well as professional musician Stéphane Lasserre for translation and arrangements.
