Marzy. Boules: The Nièvre championships have delivered their verdict. The departmental sports-boules committee had entrusted the organization of the Nièvre doubles championship to the Boule Marzyate club. The competition began at 8:30 a.m. with pleasant weather all morning, continuing in the rain during the final stages and, with the pitches quickly becoming impassable, a repatriation became essential to the Nevers bowling alley.

Regional championship on June 9

In the M3 category, three teams qualified to compete in the regional championship in Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier, Sunday June 9. This is the team of Laurent Bonnot, Éric Dasre and Anthony Dziubek from Asav Vauzelles, champions of Nièvre. From the team Pierre Carroue, Philippe Giombini and Philippe Daviot from Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier, vice-champions, and finally, from the team Christophe Jeaunet, Jacques Serviy and Pierre Liger from Asav Vauzelles, who finished third.

Regarding the M4 category, in the semi-final, the team Jacky Drugeon, Patrick Charrier and Jean-Claude Huron de Marzy beat their Fourchambaultaise counterpart Maurice Roméo, Jean-Pierre Jamault and Serge Tissier with a score of 13 to 7. The team vauzellian Jacky Gustin, Romaric Vocoret and Jérôme Lemaître defeated another team from Asav, Thierry Barbin, Julien Jeaunet and Cédric Dutartre (13-10).

In the final, the Gustin team won and became champion of Nièvre at the expense of the Drugeon de Marzy team (13-3), vice-champion.

To find out the third qualifier in M4, the losers of the semi-finals faced each other. It was again a Vauzelli team which won, 13-7. These three doubles Gustin, Drugeon and Barbin (with a replacement player) will therefore also travel to Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier, Sunday June 9.
