It’s a major drug trafficking who received a significant blow from law enforcement. After months of investigation, dozens of police arrested several suspects in theAveyron and the Batch. Some of whom were placed in pre-trial detention, explains the Aveyron gendarmerie.

The investigations date back to January 2023. Trafficking is then suspected between Villefranche-de-Rouergue, in Aveyron and Cajarc, in the Lot. After the opening of a judicial investigation in Rodez in the fall of 2023 for “trafficking in narcotics, carrying out concealed work, money laundering and non-proof of resources”, the investigation, entrusted to the Research Brigade of Villefranche-de-Rouergue, with the support of the Interministerial Gendarmerie Research Group of Toulouse (CIRG 31), has accelerated.

Nearly 60 gendarmes for six arrests

Until the arrests, which took place on May 2 at the end of the afternoon. Nearly 60 soldiers (Villefranche-de-Rouergue company, Figeac company, Gramat dog team, Rodez gendarmerie group, GIRG 31) took part.

Three suspects in pre-trial detention

Although the searches did not necessarily result in spectacular catches (a little more than 200 grams of cocainea little over 500 grams of cannabis resinsmartphones, two typical vehicles SUV And 35,000 euros in cash), several arrests have already resulted in action. Presented to an investigating judge in Rodez, the six individuals were all indicted. Three placed under judicial supervision and the other three in pre-trial detention.

Around twenty people implicated as consumers within this drug trafficking were also heard as part of this operation.
