Everything came together for this fifth round of the Brittany Championship to be a success, Wednesday May 8 in Bignan: good weather, dry terrain and around 1,500 spectators, who followed the 125, MX1 and MX2 races along the a circuit of 1,800 meters to be covered in 20 minutes plus one lap.
Winner of the first round in 125 cm3, the Brestois Ilann Werlé, member of ASM Pays Glazik, ahead of Nolan Vines (St-Carreuc) and Kévin Le Galle (St-Marc), also won the second round, thus winning overall in its category.
Starting the second round cautiously and despite a small mechanical problem, he showed composure to eat up his initial delay and catch up with the men who had taken the lead at the start – Nolan Vines, Théo Jouan (St-Marc), Pierre Guégan (AM Bignan) and Erwann Flageul (St-Marc).
And it was thanks to a very nice springboard and a flight that our champion took the lead two laps from the end to win brilliantly. “I got off to a bad start in the second round and had to deal with this delay because Nolan had taken quite a lead,” he explained.
In MX1 (250), it was also quite competitive, with Vincent Corre (Plourin les Morlaix) winning the first round ahead of Adrien Lamour (Guégon), Grégory Maréchal (Plouer) and Dorian Werlé (Pays Glazik).
In MX2 (450), Alan Harnois (Guégon) took first place ahead of Julien Duhamel (L’Hommelais) and Matéo Chastel (Romagne), also in the first round.
