What if you spent your month of June in the vineyards? The AGEM 16 Agricultural Employers’ Group, a structure which provides agricultural employees, is looking for its seasonal workers. The result is winemaking assistant positions in the Barbezieux – Cognac – Rouillac triangle.

400 seasonal positions

“We are organizing a job dating in our premises on Wednesday May 22 and 29 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is no upstream maintenance. The goal is to be able to discuss missions and meet each other. Beginners with no prior experience are accepted. The only thing required is to be able to travel to the places where they will be assigned,” explains Céline Boduin, recruitment manager. A typical day of work will be between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., “from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. if it is too hot during the day. »

Main mission, lifting the vines. “We offer contracts of one to six weeks. In total, we are looking for around 400 people to meet the demand of wine growers. Mainly in the month of June. Regarding remuneration, it can start at minimum wage and be higher depending on the candidate’s experience. »

Other missions later

During the job dating, interested candidates will be able to sign their application directly and reserve their place in the vineyards. “The objective is also to offer something else after this 6-week period. Particularly on the size of the vines, and other related positions,” assures Céline Boduin.
