Saint-Louis, May 8 (APS) – The 32nd edition of the Saint-Louis International Jazz Festival (north) scheduled for May 16 to 20 will call on local talents and artists to host the Off stage, a announced Driss Benjelloum, the general secretary of the Saint-Louis/Jazz Association, organizer of the event.

Film screenings intended to “raise awareness of certain current issues” are also on the festival program, said Mr. Benjelloun, during a press conference devoted to preparations for this event.

A carnival on cultural diversity with the lyrical flights of traditional communicators, a parade of vintage cars to brighten up the city with beautiful festive colors are also among the planned activities.

Other cultural events will also take place throughout the municipality, he added.

The Saint-Louis International Jazz Festival has been included in the catalog of the largest jazz festivals in the world since 2016.

Mr. Benjelloun announces that several festival-goers from various backgrounds are expected in the 300-year-old city.

“Highly anticipated, Saint-Louis Jazz 2024 will once again welcome thousands of festival-goers from all walks of life as evidenced by the full capacity displayed by almost all of the hotel receptions in Saint-Louis and surrounding areas,” he said. made known.

The event, which is in an advanced preparation phase, has already completed its artistic programming, he informed.

Talented artists of international renown such as Carmen Souza (Portugal) and Raphaël Pannier () will also take part in this major event, which is part of the national, or even international, cultural agenda, according to him.

He took advantage of this platform to magnify the support of the various partners who, according to him, continue to show their confidence in this flagship of the cultural and artistic industries.
