Sédhiou, May 8 (APS) – The new Sénoba customs commercial brigade made a double seizure of currency in black notes worth 3 billion 447 million CFA francs, APS learned from the General Directorate of Customs .

“This double operation follows the exploitation of information reporting a plan to transfer and wash black notes by individuals operating in the south of the country,” she indicates, in a press release sent to the APS.

She explains that it was during the night of Monday 06 to Tuesday 07 May around 10 p.m., that “the agents of the said unit sped off and intercepted a first group of three people, including an individual who claims to belong to the defense and security forces ”. According to the General Directorate of Customs, “the three counterfeiters held black notes worth 3 billion 205 million CFA francs”.

“This double operation also made it possible to apprehend another individual this Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. with denominations of black notes worth 242 million CFA francs,” she reported.

The brand new commercial customs brigade of Sénoba, subdivision of Kolda, southern customs region, has made, in a few months, seizures of black notes worth more than 9 billion 300 million CFA francs (900 million in January , 05 billion in April and 03 billion 447 million for the latest date).
