The draw for the Concacaf Nations League was made on Monday evening (May 6, 2024). The first matches of the 2024/25 event are scheduled for the FIFA international windows in September, October and November 2024, as well as in March 2025. Martinique will have a lot to do to escape from Group A. competition is enormous.
That’s it, Martinique knows its potential opponents for the group stage of the 2024/2025 Concacaf Nations League. The draw was made last night (Monday May 6) in Miami. Martinique finds itself in Group A with Costa Rica, Guatemala, Guadeloupe, Suriname and Guyana.
The group matches will be played during the FIFA international windows in September, October and November 2024.
For now, Concacaf confirms that each national team will play 4 matches. The meeting schedule will be made public soon. For the Martinique selection staff, after this draw, the match preparation mode is already activated with the planning of video sequences and analyses. According to Marc Collat, the Martinique coach, the meeting is important and the constitution of the new group is a fundamental element for the success of the upcoming campaign.
Group A is certainly tough and we will have to fight in a competition where each match is difficult.
In the Concacaf rankings, if Martinique is ranked 11th, Costa Rica is 6th, Guatemala is 9th, Guadeloupe is 15th, Suriname is 17th and Guyana is 19th.
After the group stage, the first and second in each group will advance to the quarter-finals. At this stage, things will get tough since the 4 qualifiers will have to deal with heavy competition from nations such as Mexico, the United States, Panama and Canada (the four highest ranked teams in League A).
Note that the quarter-finals will be played in a two-legged format.

Group A: Costa Rica, Guatemala, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Suriname and Guyana
Group B: Jamaica, Honduras, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, Nicaragua and French Guiana
Pending the scheduling of the matches, the Concacaf forecasts for the group stage are set on the agenda: from September 2 to 10, from October 7 to 15 and from November 11 to 19, 2024.
The quarter-final matches are scheduled for the window of November 11-19, 2024.
The semi-finals are scheduled to be played on March 20, 2025. The third-place matches and the final are scheduled for March 23, 2025.
As a reminder, the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup in July 2025.
